The greenhouse effect

We managed to squeeze in a trip to the Royal Greenhouses at Laeken today which is just as well as tomorrow is the last day they are open to the public this year. I can't believe it's taken us 12 years to get round to doing it! They are only open for three weeks every year and it's usually all over before we realise it, so thanks to KarenC for reminding me! Apparently it takes 20 full-time gardeners to look after all those amazing plants and flowers. The children, perhaps understandably, were a little underwhelmed but perked up when they saw an ice-cream van on the way out!
