Blood and gold, the colours 0f the Catalan flag are much in evidence at any Perpignan USAP rugby match. It was great to see Perpignan recover from a poor first half of the season to secure their survival in the top 14 with a 34-22 victory over Lyon despite having only fourteen players for most of the game. Around here Bill Shankly's quote about football certainly applies to rugby, "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."
