Jam

I made my first jam! I made jam all by myself! Please forgive my excitement over something I know most of you have been doing for years but I was raised in a family where everything had to come from a box or jar from a store. This is a very exciting new development in our lives! Plus, last week I made my first bread so that I don't always have to rely on Mr. Apple. I am guessing this jam will taste delicious on some homemade bread.

Now, this is just a sort of "fresh jam" which means it has to stay in the refrigerator and be eaten within the week or two. But, it has definitely got me in the mood to start researching jars and canning...soon I will be a lovely old Auntie with jars of preserves on a cellar shelf!
