INTRODUCING OUR HUMMINGBIRD HOTTIE

This Costa's hummingbird was a frequent visitor to our feeder this winter.
However, he would not tolerate me getting even remotely close to him.

Today, as I was making my final selections for the Kentucky Derby -
He zoomed into our Mesquite tree, perching on a dangling branch.
So cooperative, he stayed while I ran into the house for my 400 lens.

HIs iridescent coloring lit up the tree, not to mention my day.
