Saying Goodbye

As arranged, hcalibrarian came over to collect some of our tadpoles to stock her new garden pond. These are from our second batch of frogspawn, collected 7 weeks ago, before the frost, and protected in our greenhouse on cold nights.

We transferred tadpoles from the Deeper Better Makeshift Tadpool, as they are far more mature than the large seed tray Shallow Better Makeshift Tadpool, and included some of the different weeds (some mud went in by accident), to help stock the pond.

By now they are probably careering round their new home exploring all the extra space they have and those remaining will be relieved to have more room to move.
