Perigee Peeper
Being somewhat of a moon fan I was pretty excited for the Perigee of the 5th of May. The brightest and biggest moon of the year, its closest passing of the Earth since March of last year. Not much point going on a wild goose chase this year if I can only catch glimpses through the crackled clouded sky! I think it is quite late enough, the moon is still high in the sky teasing me through open patches of sky but nothing worth losing more sleep over. Night-night sky watchers!
Edit- the moon did eventually come out to play much later but with whisps of cloud and no interesting feature close enough for me to silhouette in my PJs I thought best to give it up for the night.
