The start line at Geneva
The bikes were pointing to the Pyrenees and the sun was shining. In front of us we had 155 Km (95.5 miles) at 25.5 Km/hr with 1300 metres of ascent. We were Simon Richardson, Paul Lazarus, Chris Batch, Rob Williamson, an unknown passing tourist and our main driver Russell Williamson - Rob's dad. Great cycling from the Swiss countryside to the Saonne valley on mainly quiet roads and a great way of experiencing France from the street level. More of this tomorrow when I will be closer to the Pyrenées - hopefully.
