Patrona

By patrona

"grossly indecent and disgusting".

It is interesting how often in a familiar place one can walk past a feature for years without seeing it.

In West Princes Street Gardens stands the Ross Fountain. A towering structure which arrived in Edinburgh in 1869 via the Great Exhibition.

It was not universally welcomed, hence the title above, but it is impressive and on one of the few brilliantly blue spring days it is clear where Ian Fleming, drew his inspiration for Goldfinger.( I have no idea if this is true !Jill Masterton)
