My Horticultural Hubby
The snow appears to have gone once more and we are left with just a chilly wind, which is not unpleasant. The sun is shining most of the time and this has made it possible for my hubby to go out and rearrange some plants.
More often than not, the cats dig them up. Not our cats, but there is one in particular that comes into the garden and tears up the new growth. It's a beautiful black and white cat, but it's a bit of a pest! Sorry !
(Little cat, we love you really!!!)
Hubby has recently planted two or three hardy Fuscia's. Boy, are they going to have to be hardy up here!! Today I noticed he was replanting some Primroses so I took the opportunity to sneak out the back door and click!
I am very proud of my husband. He does a fabulous job in our small garden considering the amount of constant pain he is in. He can't sit on the couch for more than about 30 minutes, then he has to lie down. This little spell in the garden will probably have him lying down for the rest of the day.
But I have never once heard him complain.
I'm not a gardener, so in return for him doing the garden, I'm collecting little leaves and flowers now and again and pressing them and I will present him with a framed picture either on his birthday in November or at Christmas. I know he'll really love that.
Have a fab day folks!
