Edinburgh Castle

Blue skies? Sunshine? Wow, it was almost nice weather, it wasn't even that cold! (ok, it WAS a cold).

A wander around town meant I had quite a few potential photos for today's Blip. Most tourist photographs are taken from Princes Street but I've decided to choose an image from the south side (Johnston Terrace). The late afternoon sun was catching the castle and rocks at an angle which produced an interesting contrast of light and dark, and the angle shows how steep and defensible the castle was.
