Change is Needed
I was woken early this morning by the sun reflecting off the building opposite me; it's indicative of the spring weather we have had thus far that I haven't yet become accustomed to it. What to do? Sunday snooze or Sunday stroll? The work ethic won out; as it often does, so I wandered out into the Manchester Morning.
It was beautiful, WARM, (shock) and I meandered out to Ancoats and the canals; away from my usual haunts. Canada Geese are a nuisance on the waterways back in my home-town but here they brought life; every couple of hundred yards along the canal I was strangely delighted to see a nesting goose with her protective gander keeping a watchful eye not far away. This young gosling was one of seven being corralled by protective parents in the Islington Wharf area; seeing them made me smile deep inside; soppy eh!
Perhaps it's apt as I begin my blip-foto life but he/she also makes me think of change; movement; transformation all the things that make life the very opposite of stasis; it's time to move again. The vacancy at work will be the nudge I was looking for; the equilibrium is no longer healthy and a change is needed.
