Female Blackbird (Turdus merula)

I'm starting to have a real soft spot for this blackbird.

I came back to find her lying on the bench in the garden. Even when I approached her she only wanted to move a few inches onto the fence. She has a deformed beak, as I mentioned earlier in the week, and I think she's struggling to feed effectively. She allowed me to go into the house, get out the 500mm lens and camera and set up 4 metres away (I couldn't get any closer as I was at the minimum focus distance).

I've been kind to her here (got her right side) and not shown off the deformity at its worst. I also put out some meal worm for her but waited in vain for her to go down and feed.
