Sunday History Lesson

As much as I wanted to show you the weird sad face sculpture outside The Marlowe Theatre and the thirsty pigeon, I thought I would give you more boring history on a bit of the city (thank you Google).

Now this is number 8 Palace Street. Apparently it was built in the 13th century but the top two floors may have been done a couple of centuries later. Between first and second floor there are two slightly rude gargoyles. The building may have been used as a rectory for the church of St Alphege.

That's about as much as I could find, I can't link on here properly but I got the info from Britain Express.

Also, look carefully at the middle window, there's something Pacman related, possibly a sheet! Weird.

Bet you wish I had chosen the pigeon now, don't you?
