Coolpix 8700

I bought a camera last year of e-bay, from a New York trader, the Nikon 8700 coolpix.From the moment I started to use it I hated it.I found the menu's hard to negociate, and it was quite heavy.
I decided today to give it a try again, just after I had promised it to my younger son.
Guess what for the first time I enjoyed using it, and some of the results I am very pleased with.The above shot was taken on full digital, choc's away zoom, with the lens hanging out of the body on a big spring.
The poor duck was racing against the very fast flowing river and making good progress, but I still managed to catch it and I'm hoping to have it crispy with some pancakes and sauce. I wonder if my son would be happy with a packet of balloons?.
