Kayaking in the gym

Daughter 1 went kayaking after school again today. However, because of the recent heavy rain, the river is very high and flowing very fast so they were not allowed to go on the river. Instead, they spent a couple of hours in the gym. I thought she'd be finished by 6pm so I sat by the river reading my book. She didn't come out until 7pm.
