It's a baldy bald life!

I'm not known for my love of the motorcar, having never learnt to drive. It's rare for me to be on the side of the motorist. However, in this case, maybe the traffic warden was lacking compassion. Note exactly how the ticket was positioned.

I've not blipped much this week, generally because I've been kinda busy with too many things. Rosemary is here this weekend too and I know that it takes all of her patience when my mind is on looking at everything to see if there's a good photo in it.

The day started off with a bike ride round the local hills. I felt quite good and relaxed, although my wheezy chest isn't better after nearly a month. A few chaps past me on Chunal, one with hairy legs and another who looked a bit of a bag of rags. Both on nice bikes. They had compact chainsets on, and 92kg on a 15% gradient for me is never easy. They pipped me to the top of the climb! Boo!

Dave Clamp, a remarkable endurance athlete who I'm working with, popped round to borrow my turbo-trainer. I'm really excited about helping him towards a world best for his age, which is well within his reach. What I'm struggling with is that he's going to attempt 30 Ironman distance events in 30 days! Crazy!

In the afternoon, R and I popped into town to The Cornerhouse to watch a movie: Monsieur Lazhar. I wasn't really looking forward to it, especially because it got an Oscar nomination, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a film of many layers with lots of different messages, some not at all obvious. Well worth a watch.

Dinner was good tonight with homemade macaroni and cheese. I hadn't made a cheese sauce for many moons, so needed some guidance from Rosemary. It worked out cheesetastically fondilicious! I did need fruit salad to sop up the cheese in my tummy though.
