Ups and downs
There are some Monday mornings that are just ridiculous! And today was one. Heard a tale of coat hangers that was almost Joan-Crawfordesque in it's ridiculousness. Then mumps and moans from one numpty after another. And I buggered up big style in one area, but came up with marvelous contingency plan that then disappeared in one phone call.
Of course, I now realise that my cryptic comments on blip are actually indecipherable by me after a fairly short time. No doubt a year from now I will click on this wee thumbnail in the corner, and have not a clue what I am rabbiting on about
Later on went to a talk - and lo and behold (at least ) one other blipper and his wife were there too. Was especially surprised that my name was remembered - especially as several people in the room have met me in the same place in similar circumstances over the last couple of years - and don't ever remember my name...in fact most of the old codgers don't even recognise me. Was an interesting talk - well at least up to the "this is a sea slug" and then from the "salmon are dumb" - the hour in the middle of those two sentences sorta lost me. But I looked earnest, so maybe that fooled them ( but hope I was not nodding and hmmm-ing in agreement, that can be sooo irritating).
However at end was able to chat to person who I had been trying to speak to for a few weeks.
Really really pissed off when I got home - news through the grapevine that , although almost inevitable, was not really what I wanted to hear. Time to move on? Now that's something that I will remember next 6 October when I click on the thumbnail.
As you can see - still have to get to grips with the night photography techniques...
