Thanks For The Cool Spot

At the corner of our back yard there's a spot where every dog that has ever spent any time in the yard lays to watch over everything that happens there. Of course, the spot's cooler and more comfortable if its dug out a little. For we humans, that means a place where there's often a newly-dug hole and a bare spot where the grass has been snuffed out.

We decided to place some paving stones there to try to dress up an ugly place as well as discourage digging by our four-legged best friends. Even as I was working on getting the base nice and even our own little dog came over, sniffed, lay down, and promptly fell asleep. Getting her to move out of the way was like pushing a chain.
