The Road of the Beast

I spend a fair amount of time in the car, in weather like this i cant help thinking that this road number is particularly apt!

Thinking about it, call me superstitious, but if i had been in charge of allocating road numbers (must be somebodys job title?) i think i would have skipped this one and gone straight to A667?
