The Leith Poleeth Dithmithith Us
This is a 1921 Policemans lantern as used on the mean streets of Leith just after it became part of Edinburgh in 1920.Before that Leith was it's own Burgh and had it's own court (still kept intact in Leith Police station today), and kept it's own laws.
