Longstones near Mottistone

Intended to spend the day in catching up on housework and the garden...didn't happen, No gardening too wet! minimal housework, couple of visitors and my daughter wanting us to walk the pups, so walk the pups we did, decided to walk the Bluebell walk again, it was lovely the rain cleared up and the sun came out, was abit muddy underfoot but worth it,lots of hills to climb so good for the cardiovascular system! phew!
We walked up to the Longstones that sits on the edge of the bluebell wood, I mentioned them in a blip before, the tall one stands about 13ft they are made of local greensand sandstone, It is the only Megalithic monument on the Island.
so that was my bank holiday Monday \lovely and the pups loved it too they are shattered......I am too lol.
