Police Box

I think I must go around with my eyes closed because this is the first time I have seen a Police Box in London. I have been going to a service in Earls Court a number of times and yet today I saw this directly outside the tube station. I always wondered what went on inside the box and could understand it before mobile phones etc. but what happens in there now. It did look as though someone tends to it as otherwise it would probably have graffiti on it.
Today I was given a ring doughnut by someone advertising a new manufacturer and then as I was leaving Earls Court I was given a mini can of Coke - it was very welcome as the sun had come out and it was quite warm.
