Shell shock

More 'shell surprise' actually. As I was wrestling with my bike on the slightly slippery stone surface of our back garden/space/yard this morning I noticed this little beauty and although I was running a bit late I couldn't resist stopping to take this shot. I wonder if it (the snail) will still be there this evening?

I've had a lovely holiday weekend: being at home with himself and the cats, bit of cooking, bit of walking, bit of twanging. I even ransacked a couple of scary overflowing cupboards which was surprisingly satisfying. I don't think I could have coped with much else, really.
