Dandy liar

Miss A lied to me today. Probably not the first time and definitely not the last, but it was a rather endearing lie all the same.

She wasn't best pleased about going off to pre-school so in the car she proceeded to tell me that I had to stay with her once there. Why? Because all the other mummies stay at pre-school. Do they? What do they do? They help all the children not to cry and look after them if they get sad.

What does a mother say to that? My heart went out to her. I know she has a great time once she's there but she's still finding it a little tough being dropped off. Lots of kisses and cuddles were on hand to make the transition slightly less painful.

D, on the other hand, has decided nursery is the place to be and practically lept out of my arms when dropped off this morning. It's a happy sight to see him so comfortable there, long may it last.
