Telephone Box
I spent part of this morning looking at Student Finance application for Tom. Seems fairly straight forward, the only difficulty, maybe, will be in getting Tom to sit down and fill out the forms.
The rest of my time prior to lunch and afternoon coffee, was in sorting through my many photos from Japan. I've managed two days' worth so far, and I'm not doing much to them, a bit of cropping, a bit of straightening, then into the relevant folder. I'm not sure how I ever managed before digital photography, I guess all photos were accepted at face value, with only 24 or 36 exposures per reel maybe we were a lot more cautious about the photos we took.
There are two phone boxes on Henley Street; loved by tourists for posing against for photos, part of quaint English heritage (you will have seen them in earlier blips where I've featured buskers who use them as a backdrop). Anyway one day a little while age they ripped the inners out of one of them and installed an ATM. So much for English heritage, you can hardly pose against an ATM. Today I noticed they've reinstalled the phone, not inside the box, but on one side - the ATM is still there too, so we have a multi-functioning 'old fashioned' red telephone box, with all mod cons!
