Scotland's Bard

Out for a walk today and took a quick snap of the birthplace of Scotland's most famous son, Robert Burns: Poet, songwriter and a bit of a lad with the ladies.
Died in 1796 at the age of just 37 but his legacy will last forever.
His writings transcend the test of time and his sentiment is still relevant even today.
Not everybody has heard of the poet but most have sung Auld Lang Syne at New Year which as you may have guessed by now was from his pen.
If you are ever in Alloway (Ayrshire Scotland) it is worth a visit to his birthplace and the Burns museum.
