Progress

Our builders have replaced the worm eaten wooden beam with an RSJ today and the new window and door are due to arrive tomorrow. They will then rebuild the stone under the window frame.

I too have had a busy day: scraping plaster off floorboards, removing nails and scrubbing the floor - it's a long time since I last used a scrubbing brush! I didn't quite manage to finish though (much to my shame as Ann did the much larger front bedroom last Friday).

However, following a small interlude in the sun, when I did some therapeutic weeding, I did manage to make a start on putting some paint on the walls. Only a start I hasten to add and just a thin coat to seal the wall. Our plumber would like there to be paint on the wall before he attached radiators and G would like the whole lot painted before he finishes the floors!

I hope I can still move tomorrow! At least we have Tai Chi to look forward to which ought to help relax stiff muscles.
