Happy Feet!
Today was the first day the babies have been out in the yard - the day was warm and sunny, the lawn was mowed, the stars aligned. It's a preview of what summers are like here with four toddlers. From my perspective (because I don't have to do the feeding and diapering and conflict resolution) the days flow gently and sweetly. Laurie is often able to do some gardening while the babies play, and I have endless photo ops. Liza likes it too because she has easy access to baby toes for licking and gets to be outside most of the time, which she loves.
This is Mr. L's first time on the outside climber. He took to it quickly, figured out how to climb up on it and did a little happy dance. There will be many hours spent on this climber over the next 2 1/2 years. And there's still the sandbox and the slide to explore, plus all the berries that are there for the children to pick. (Laurie's philosophy: "If children have access to all the berries they want to eat, they'll know that life is pretty good.")
I don't recall having all the berries I wanted, but life is still pretty good.
