Ilam Church and Thorpe Cloud

A few years ago I did an Artist Residency here, I built a Camera Obcscura that you could walk into and see this view inside the camera. It was built out of hazel coppicing and a rather large amount of black material inside it. Everyone who came into it expected the image seen to be black and white! its quite interesting when you get birds flying across the interior of it upside down. With no mirror everything is reversed. I made some salt prints whilst there as well, they were a little less successful due to lack of sun :)

It was a great week I had there and its very pretty. It was lambing season at the time and all I could hear at night was lambs and owls.

Thorpe Cloud is the hill in the middle its the entrance to Dovedale.
