Bonus Bird

Was out today for the Birdrace to commemorate the opening of the Wales Coast Path [ http://www.walescoastpath.gov.uk/ ].

A nice bonus was this drake Smew at Uskmouth,

In fact two of the three star birds recorded on the day, this Smew and the Red-rumped Swallow at Boat Lane, were recorded on the Newport Wetlands NNR
