Smile...and the whole world smiles with you...

...or maybe not on a gloomy day like today :(

Nostalgia - that what I gleem from a Polaroid photo. I have always wanted one growing up, but only now do I actually own one, I covet the SX-70, but for now a cheapy one bought from eBay has to suffice (I have the Polaroid one600).

The actual film of course is expensive, but I feel totally worth the pennies. There is a company called 'The Impossible Project' http://www.the-impossible-project.com/ who decided to produce new film for the Pola's that are still circulating, thereby hoping that by producing the film for Polaroids, that they wouldn't become obselete! And I think they have done a really good job so far in producing quality materials.

It does take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, and I did incur a few mishaps (so it got a little expensive), but I can-not-stop-using-the-film - see I get addicted, obsessed, pedantic - passionate (!), anyway, call it what you will, I love being able to take 'vintage' style photos on it and seeing what 'develops' 'scuse the pun. It is half the fun wondering how the actual photo turns out, seeing if there are light leaks (most probably), or they are completely duff or if you have produced little gems to treasure forever (!), anyway, its good, clean, fun!

For this photo I used the PX 600 Silver Shade with the black frame and The Kid as my model (again)...you'll have to get used to this I'm afraid...he on the other hand doesn't get used to it, AT ALL, but I'm good at bribing ;)
