Meet the Pioneers.

We've been working with the Co-operative Heritage Trust and Co-operative College to create animated films over the last few months, and today we were invited to take part in a day long event celebrating co-operatives. 320 local school children attended the 'Meet the Pioneers' event, held at the beautiful town hall in Rochdale.

You can see some of the stunning stained glass, and the group watching one of our short animations in the photo, and later on they watched the premiere of our newest one, about the values and principles behind co-operative schools. The children then split into 16 groups, and took part in activities all day, ranging from felting with their feet, singing, dressing up in 'olden day' clothes, playing with old fashioned toys, acting, and many others we didn't get the chance to see. We ran workshops making props and characters for a short film in our sessions. We did 4 sessions, with 20 young people in each - so it was a very busy day!

We have come home with lots of new props and characters - and covered in glitter - a good days work!
