The Birthday Party

The son of one set of our next-door neighbours is ten years old today.

Here he is with his younger sister, on the right of the 'photo, and another friend. He has a radio-controlled aircraft to learn to fly, and a radio-controlled car. What joy! I'm told that he was up before 5 am this morning, ready for the day to start...

His little sister, with her handbag and umbrella, looks as though she is about to embark on some journey. I'm not sure that the angel's garb is quite in keeping, but there you are. Here's another shot of the happy group.

There was good stuff to eat and drink at the little party, including this amazing chocolate-based cake. We have brought a 'doggy-plate' of it home with us, to eat as pudding after a garlic-laden pizza that I have just been told is now ready..
