The pollinators
It's been a lovely day here today, and the bees have been making the most of it. The sun also seems to bring out the dandelions - on a nice day the fields are dotted with their bright yellow flowers adding a happy splash of colour to the green carpet of grass. Although the stock don't care for them much, the bees certainly do, getting stuck right in.
Back at the hive entrance thousands of bees were returning from foraging with their legs laden with vivid yellow pollen. This would be delivered to the workers to be processed into honey, some of which we hope to take later in the year.
