Highway Chile

See this little cutie LARGER.

I had my blip sorted early today, before work, when I went out to feed Tom the Tank.
This cute little snail (shell no more than 1/2" across) was making his/her way from my kitchen window ledge onto the cottage wall - coming from who-knows-where and heading who-knows-where. I love snails - I love the variation in colour and pattern on their shells, the swirling, concentric whirl of the shape - and I love the way they carry their home (and only possession) on their back, wherever they go. No ties, no responsibilities, free to roam wherever they wish - I kinda envy them. I couldn't resist blipping it.
Which ties in quite nicely with my music link .... JIMI of course ...
though I sincerely hope this little sweetie stays OFF the highways and sticks to the grass, soil and trees l it was meant to roam on ...

And before anyone mentions it - yes my kitchen window ledge needs a darned good sand down and re-varnish! Something I MUST get done this summer ... lol
