Wisconsin

I drive past this little "installation" most days on my way to work. It's always puzzled me as it looks out of place. We're not known for cowboys on the fylde, at least I don't think we are!!!

I have tried to do a little research to find out more about it but all I came up with was a Westby in Wisconsin. Seemingly they have a very active weather station. So I have concluded that Westby in the Lancashire must be acknowledging it's US namesake.

Not being particularly well up on US geography apart from knowing the 3 states I've visited and a vague idea where Florida is I was interested to learn that Wisconsin lies to the north east of the country. Fascinating stuff!!!!
