A very fond farewell.
Two of my most loved possessions and items I'm not often seen in public without.
My red leather satchel will hopefully last a lifetime but unfortunately every pair of converse has a shelf life - especially when worn day in day out!
I bought these lovely trainers in New York 2 years ago. They were the perfect souvenir of 2 months travelling round the States (and a much needed replacement for a pair I'd wrecked along the way!) and so have massive sentimental value as well as being, well, fabulous. However as the soles have now come away from the rims and great big gaping holes let all the rain in (yes, today was most fun with extremely cold soggy feet) I'm going to have to very reluctantly concede defeat.
I'll miss you my wondrous beloved starry NYC converse.
Who am I kidding, the fact that they are currently sat in front of the heater to dry out speaks volumes. I may not be able to wear them anymore but I'm not throwing them out either!
