Asian fruit and veg

I called into this Asian grocery store today and was surprised at the range of unusual vegetables and fruit on sale. The spiky cucumber type vegetable in the photo is called karela, I'd never seen it before and I'm definitely keen to give it a try. The man pictured is stocking up on baby aubergines. They also had an impressive range of chillies.
