An Afternoon Mooching

I worked this morning, and it was a glorious day, so I vowed to get the girls out after school to blast out the cobwebs. We ended up going across to Maraetai, to the Wharf Store for a coffee.

While we were there, one of the Eldest's friends also arrived with her little sister, mum and Italian grandmother. We all had our treats and then went across the road to the beach.

The kids all played beautifully, just with what was in front of them. They made Mermaid nests and sploshed about in the outgoing tide. Fabulous use of time. We left at dusk.
