The Best Birthday Present Ever...

So, today I'm at the Front Desk, getting on with my work, when my manager brings me some post.

I recognise the hand writing straight away, as it's my Mum's who did inform me that I would be getting some more cards :) But I have to say, this isn't what I expected AT ALL!!

Opening the envelope, I see a mix of red, yellow and green feathers... "What is that?" My manager says to me. Excited easily, I pull the strange pieces of paper out and examine them carefully....as soon as I saw the make shift flower, I knew who they were from and before I got chance to even open my cards, I felt my eyes water and I choked a little :)

The Red Card - "To Auntie Melissa, Happy Birthday, love you lots from Evelyn + Olivia xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
The Yellow Card - "To Auntie Melissa, Happy Birthday, love you lots from Tilly-Mae + Olivia xxxxxxxxxxxxx"

They were written by themselves and my girls are 6 and 4 years old. Of course Olivia got her name into both cards ;) My neices are so talented and they have such wonderful parents, who I also love and miss very much.

I'm so lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring family and I cannot wait to see you all again! Not long now....
