A quiet beach

There are still some unspoilt places in Cyprus. This is Avdimou beach, and Mrs W spotted some interesting birds (including cattle Egrets and a Stilt).

No development has been allowed here because it is part of the British Sovereign Base Area. As such Wikipedi suggests it is not part of the EU, and yet it (along with the other Cypriot Sovereign Base Area further East) is the only part of British territory that has adopted the Euro!
