Horseradish

Today's the day ................................ to pass on the sauce

Roma made us a fantastic meal tonight. It was organic roast beef with all the trimmings - Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, creamed leeks, carrots, broccoli and gravy. There were also a couple of condiments on the table - mustard and horseradish sauce.

There is no way that I would have added horseradish sauce to my plate - and that's because I have inherited my father's intense dislike of it. His graphic description when I was a child of how horrible it was after he had mistakenly eaten some is something that my brother and I remember to this day.

The daft thing is that I have never actually ever tried it. Maybe if I did, I might find that it wasn't as bad as I thought .................................
