Another Languedoc year...

By SweetApricots

Odd one out

One of the joys of late spring here in the Languedoc is the proliferation of bearded irises. They're everywhere - along roadsides, in everyone's gardens, on roundabouts, in ditches - and for us - all over the vineyard.

We have lots of dark and light blue irises and this luscious creature standing alone in its glory on the road up to the mazet. It's miles from anywhere and in the wild. Just beautiful.
