Sunset from Duncton Hill

With the Family safely waved off to Dads' camp for the weekend (only dads allowed!), I took the opportunity to head out to watch the sunset from the Trundle, north of Chichester.

I couldn't resist detouring to Duncton Hill viewpoint on the way back to catch the afterglow. Duncton Hill - 398 feet above sea level - has views on a clear day to many hills on the South Downs, including Blackdown - the highest point in Sussex at 919 feet. The view also stretches 20 miles northeast, to Leith Hill in Surrey, the highest point on the Greensand Ridge at 965 feet.
