Birthday baking

It's the Boy's birthday on Sunday. He's decided now he's getting old, instead of going out, staying up late and getting drunk he'll have a civilised gathering at home stay at home and do it instead :o)

We're having some friends over tomorrow to celebrate so I've been doing some experimental baking to make him a birthday cake. You may remember the tower of deliciousness from Christmastime. Today I decided to see what would happen if I took the flavour and structure of the tower and combine it with the quirky colourfulness of my rainbow cookies. I can safely say, it has paid off.
