Dry

Everyone wanted to see what wold become of yesterday's fibre so here is phase 1.

I used one of my blips for inspiration. I have laid out the merino as I want the picture to look. More detail will be added with needle felting, machine stitching first, then a bit of hand stitching.

Often it looks the best at this stage as some of the shaping, finer detail and subtlety can be lost in the wet felting. Fortunately some needle felting before the machine stitching can sort out any glaring mistakes.

I'm looking forward to phase 2 - wet felting. i may actually do it now so that I'm ready for detail tomorrow once it's dry.
