White Elephant

Early dart from work today after a super busy week - headed over to meet B at ExCel and wandered around Grand Designs exhibition for a while until the promise of a sunny afternoon lured us back outdoors.

I haven't been to Canary Wharf for many years - it felt like being a tourist, seeing impossibly gigantic new buildings, sitting up front on the DLR and taking the mickey out of City types.

The cable car in this shot is the new way to cross the Thames apparently, it takes five minutes and will be open this Summer - think I'll still prefer the Docklands Light Railway.
