Forfar Witches

At the side of Forfar loch there is a stone circle and under the hawthorn tree is a stone to commemorate the last witch hunt in Scotland which was in the 1660's when 22 women were tried for witchcraft and sentenced to death. The stone states simply Forfar witches.....just people and there are 22 dots to represent the poor women.
Sorry for the history lesson :) I just find it fascinating and it was such a beautiful sunny day today for a walk around the Loch. May the blue skies continue!!
