What a wonderful, wonderful building - an amazing place and can't believe it has taken us our third trip to NYC before we ventured inside.

Lots of people being very scholarly, so had to be sensitive with taking pics, though staff we very kind and offered guidance.

A friend tell us there is talk of replacing all the books with computer terminals, with all the books held in storage underground or off site. I can see why it would be an attractive option in some ways, but I do think the aesthetics and beauty of the place would be affected in a very sad way.

Definitely one for your list if you're visiting - before it changes!
