Paeonia rockii

Having a brilliant time with cousins and friends. Saw my first wild orchid of the year in the woods by the River Torridge this morning. Blipped this tree peony and RHS Rosemoor near Torrington this afternoon.

This evening we're all going to the Duke of York at Iddesleigh, one of - if not the - best pubs in the West Country. Ted Hughes used to drink there and it's where War Horse was conceived. So at one time both the Poet Laureate and the Children's Laureate were drinking there at the same time! I shall have to have my literary hat on!!
